Lycopodium Minerals in Perth is seeking a Senior Procurement Officer to join our expanding team. You will manage purchasing, expediting, transport logistics and reporting for multi-project mining ventures.

Reporting to the Principal Procurement Officer, you will coordinate with stakeholders, conduct supplier evaluations and ensure on-time delivery and cost control across international projects, including Africa.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years' procurement experience with mining project exposure.
• Experience on international projects – Africa preferred.
• Knowledge of international and local tendering and contract laws/regulations.
• High-level negotiating and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail, organisational and time management skills.

Responsabilités

• Plan, coordinate, monitor and report progress of all procurement activities and purchase orders.
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to secure optimum prices and deliveries.
• Conduct commercial analysis and evaluate quotations for supplier selection.
• Develop and maintain vendor data and tracking systems for projects.

Due to the recent award of several projects, Lycopodium Minerals is currently recruiting for experienced Senior Procurement Officers to join our growing team in Perth! Reporting to the Principal Procurement Officer, the Senior Procurement Officer will be responsible for purchasing, expediting, transport logistics, freight schedules, maintaining procedures and information reporting for various projects.

The tasks you'll perform

• Plan, coordinate, monitor and report progress of all activities required for timely issue of enquiries, tender evaluation and award of purchase orders.
• Work in conjunction with a range of internal and external stakeholders to secure optimum prices and deliveries for equipment to meet project technical, schedule and commercial requirements.
• Commercial analysis and evaluation of quotations to enable the correct supplier choice to be made.
• Develop and maintain an effective vendor data (including manuals) and goods tracking system both on a company-wide and on a project-specific basis.
• Implement and monitor the procurement schedule in accordance with the overall delivery schedule.
• Liaise with and provide professional support to the Project team in the preparation of project deliverables.

The expertise you'll bring

• A minimum of 7 years' procurement experience with significant experience in mining projects.
• Previous experience working on international projects – Africa preferred.
• Sound knowledge of international and local tendering and contract laws regulations and practices.
• High-level negotiating skills and problem solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail, organisational and time management skills, with the ability to own and prioritise.
• Ability to create a positive stakeholder management and customer support environment.
• Capability to work independently and deliver to agreed deadlines with a results driven approach.
• Ability to perform under pressure and meet targets and deadline
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
