Wood is seeking a Senior Process Engineer for our Brisbane team. You will contribute to projects in oil & gas, water and renewables, handling front-end to detailed design and close-out activities to ensure timely delivery.

The ideal candidate will have a Chemical Engineering degree, commissioning experience, and familiarity with HYSYS/Unisim, with onshore/offshore hydrocarbon exposure preferred. Australian work rights required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical Engineering required.
• Commissioning engineering experience would be ideal.
• Able to apply the theories, codes and standards for the Process discipline.
• Hydrocarbon industry design experience and onshore/offshore exposure preferred.
• Experience with HAZOP/HAZID/SIL studies preferred.
• Familiar with HYSYS and Unisim.

• Provide process engineering services from concept to close-out to meet schedules.
• Perform process calculations, HYSYS modelling, P&IDs, and data sheets.
• Contribute to safety reviews and hydraulics/overpressure calculations.

Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently recruiting for a Senior Process Engineer to join our team in Brisbane. Reporting to the Discipline Lead Engineer, the successful applicant will be part of a busy project team delivering projects for our clients in the Oil & Gas, water and renewables industries.

Responsibilities

• Process engineering services to the client, ranging from conceptual, front-end, detailed design, as-built and close-out activities for timely delivery of project deliverables according to approved schedules
• Completes a variety of complex process engineering computations, HYSYS simulation (steady & dynamic) modelling, prepare P&IDs, PFDs, heat and material balances, instruments and equipment data sheets, utilities and chemical summaries
• Performs hydraulics and overpressure/blowdown calculations and participates in safety reviews

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical Engineering
• Commissiong engineering experience would be ideal
• Able to apply the theories, codes and standards appropriate to the Process discipline
• Design engineering related experience within the Hydrocarbon industry and more specifically in the Onshore and Offshore Oil & Gas production industry - preferred
• Experience of participation in HAZOP, HAZID and SIL studies - preferred
• Familiar with HYSYS and Unisim
