Job summary

Northern Territory Government’s Freedom of Information and Privacy Unit seeks an Administrative Officer 6 to support privacy programs across the NT. You will work with agencies to interpret legislation, provide guidance on information handling, and help raise privacy awareness through training and resources.

The role offers ongoing cross-government exposure, competitive conditions including superannuation, leave, and flexible arrangements.

Qualifications

Experience in privacy, information management, governance, compliance, policy or legislation interpretation.
Strong research, analytical and problem solving to interpret complex information.
Excellent written and verbal communication with stakeholders.
Experience delivering training or capability-building activities.
Ability to manage competing priorities in a confidential environment.

Responsibilities

Partner with NT Government agencies to help them manage and meet their privacy obligations.
Provide practical guidance on privacy principles, information handling, and relevant legislation.
Design and deliver training and resources that build privacy awareness and capability across government.
Contribute to privacy by design initiatives and improvements to policies, resources and privacy practices.
Support and mentor colleagues involved in the delivery of privacy services.
