Job summary

Mott MacDonald in Sydney seeks Senior & Principal Structural Modellers to join our Buildings Structural team. You will lead the delivery of high-quality structural models and documentation for complex buildings, coordinating with BIM and multidisciplinary teams.

You will mentor junior modellers, advance Revit standards and promote digital delivery practices across projects, contributing to innovative engineering solutions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in structural modelling and BIM delivery within the buildings sector.
• Advanced Revit modelling and documentation skills.
• Strong understanding of BIM standards and multidisciplinary workflows.
• Ability to manage work independently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality structural models, drawings and documentation to project requirements.
• Liaise with external consultants, clients and stakeholders on BIM and digital delivery.
• Collaborate with engineers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver complex building projects.
• Lead BIM coordination activities, including model reviews and design coordination workshops.
• Mentor and develop junior Structural Modellers with Revit and BIM guidance.
• Support development of Revit standards, BIM content libraries and workflows.

Due to exciting upcoming projects, we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior & Principal Structural Modellers to be part of our Buildings Structural team in Sydney. You will be joining a diverse team of people that are passionate about what they do, with a proven track record of guiding our projects and clients, and leading the delivery of digital ways of working across infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality structural models, drawings and documentation in line with project requirements, company standards and quality procedures.
• Liaise with external consultants, clients and project stakeholders on BIM and digital delivery requirement
• Collaborate with structural engineers and multidisciplinary teams to support the successful delivery of complex buildings projects.
• Lead and contribute to BIM coordination activities, including model reviews and design coordination workshops.
• Mentor and develop junior Structural Modellers, providing technical guidance across Revit, BIM and digital delivery practices.
• Support the development and maintenance of Revit standards, BIM content libraries, digital workflows and best-practice processes.
• Champion innovation by promoting new BIM technologies, delivering internal training, and driving continuous improvement across the Structural team.

About You

• Proven experience in structural modelling and BIM delivery within the buildings sector.
• Advanced Revit modelling and documentation skills.
• Strong understanding of BIM standards, coordination workflows and multidisciplinary project environments.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage work, prioritise tasks and deliver high-quality outputs within agreed timeframes.
• Excellent communication skills with the confidence to engage with project teams, clients and external stakeholders.
• A collaborative mindset with a passion for mentoring others and sharing technical knowledge.
