Job summary

SEC Victoria seeks an experienced infrastructure delivery professional to drive major energy projects from development through to operations. You will provide PMO oversight, govern portfolio performance, and build trusted relationships with government, contractors and regulators.

You will lead cross‑functional teams, manage risks, and ensure projects deliver on value while complying with governance and community considerations. Hybrid work with Melbourne CBD and Morwell offices is available.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience delivering large-scale energy or infrastructure projects, with renewable energy lifecycles knowledge.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams across multiple concurrent projects with governance and budgets.

What your day could look like

Each day will be varied, strategic and highly impactful. Leveraging your extensive Project Management Office (PMO) experience in renewable energy infrastructure delivery, you’ll work closely with project teams, delivery partners and senior leaders to monitor project performance, anticipate risks and provide the oversight needed to keep major investments on track. Your focus will be on ensuring projects deliver against agreed objectives while maximising value for Victorians and supporting SEC’s broader strategic goals.

You’ll also play a key role in Portfolio Governance, Risk & Commercial Oversight, strengthening the frameworks, reporting and controls that help projects succeed. Alongside this, you’ll build trusted relationships through Stakeholder Engagement & Portfolio Performance, collaborating with government, contractors, regulators and internal teams to solve challenges, provide valuable insights to executives and the Board, and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and ready for a seamless transition into operations.

What you need to be successful

You’re an experienced infrastructure delivery professional who thrives on bringing clarity, structure and momentum to complex programs of work. With a strong background in renewable energy or major infrastructure projects, you combine strategic oversight with practical delivery expertise, confidently managing competing priorities, influencing stakeholders and driving high‑quality outcomes. You understand what it takes to successfully deliver projects in complex environments, balancing commercial, governance and community considerations while building trusted relationships that enable projects to progress from development through to operations.

• Extensive experience delivering large-scale energy or infrastructure projects, supported by qualifications in Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline, with a strong understanding of renewable energy project lifecycles and delivery frameworks.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and oversee multiple concurrent projects, balancing governance, risk, commercial obligations, budgets and resources to achieve successful project outcomes.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with experience delivering projects that balance planning and regulatory requirements, community expectations, Traditional Owner engagement, local content commitments and social procurement outcomes
