Job summary

Gumtree Group in Sydney is seeking a Senior Product Manager to drive Payments, Shipping, Messaging and Fraud & Safety for Australia's leading classifieds and lifestyle network.

You will own the end-to-end discovery, specs, design critique and post-launch experiments, working with AI-assisted practices and cross-functional partners to remove friction and grow both audience and revenue.

The role offers hybrid work, growth opportunities and a focus on customer-safe exchanges.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in product management with senior-level ownership of complex initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of transactional products, payments or shipping.
• Experience with marketplaces or ecommerce platforms is beneficial.
• Hands-on with AI-assisted discovery and delivery tooling.

Responsibilities

• Define product strategy and roadmap with Head of Product and leadership.
• Lead discovery, design thinking, user testing and experimentation.
• Champion remit across the business and manage stakeholder relationships.
• Grow audience and commercial metrics while ensuring trust and safety.
• Communicate discovery and delivery plans with engineering and design.
• Report on product impact using data, research and market analysis.
