CQG Consulting, now part of Beca, invites applications for a Senior Planner in Brisbane to lead statutory planning and environmental approvals projects.

You will identify approval pathways, prepare development and permit applications, coordinate technical inputs and manage projects from inception to determination, with post-approval support where required.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Town Planning / Environmental Planning or a related discipline.
• Experience in statutory planning, environmental planning and/or environmental approvals.
• Membership or eligibility for membership of a relevant professional body such as the Planning Institute of Australia or the Environment Institute of Australia and New Zealand.
• Sound understanding of Queensland planning legislation and guidelines (Planning Act 2016, Environmental Protection Act 1994).
• Willingness to travel for project work, including remote locations.

Responsibilities

• Identify approval pathways for development projects.
• Prepare development and permit applications.
• Coordinate technical inputs and manage projects from inception to determination.
• Provide post-approval support where required.
• Lead small project teams and liaise with regulators, clients and stakeholders.
