Job summary

Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service in Far North Queensland is seeking a skilled physiotherapist to deliver high-level clinical services within a multi-professional team, including ED patients, in accordance with professional and ethical standards.

The role may rotate to N/OPSC, MSK outpatients, or other CHHHS facilities, work independently with advanced problem-solving, and participate in clinical governance and supervision to maintain high standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high level physiotherapy clinical services as part of a multi-professional team, to patients of the ED, in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards.
• This position may rotate or provide services in N/OPSC, MSK outpatients or other facilities within the CHHHS, in accordance with service requirements.
• Work independently and autonomously utilising advanced problem solving skills to manage a complex and varied clinical caseload, applying evidence-based practice and clinical judgement with minimal clinical practice supervision.
• Undertake clinical governance activities to improve clinical practices, procedures and protocols within the service, engaging cross-discipline referencing where relevant.
• Provide clinical practice supervision to staff, assistants and support staff, to ensure the maintenance of these clinical standards.
