Senior Physiotherapist - Chronic Pain Clinic at Murrumbidgee Local Health District seeks an experienced clinician to join the Chronic Pain Service based at Wagga Wagga Base Hospital. The role is permanent part-time, two days per week (Thursday and Friday), with up to 16 hours weekly and pro rata remuneration.

The successful candidate will lead evidence-based physiotherapy across settings, supervise junior staff, and contribute to quality improvement, telehealth delivery, and service development

Qualifikationen

• Holds a tertiary Physiotherapy qualification with current AHPRA registration.
• Experience with chronic pain management is advantageous.
• Leadership and supervision experience is desirable.

About the role

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and enthusiastic staff member to join the new MLHD Chronic Pain Service. The multidisciplinary team includes staff across medical, nursing, administration, physiotherapy and clinical psychology who will work together to provide high quality evidence-based care of our patients. The clinic is new to MLHD and the successful candidate will therefore be helping to pave the way of chronic pain management for the district.

The Physiotherapist position is a two day a week role based at Wagga Wagga Base Hospital with Thursday and Friday as the working days.

Key responsibilities

Clinical Excellence & Patient-Centred Care– Deliver evidence-based physiotherapy across all settings, leading multidisciplinary teams to optimise outcomes, ensure timely discharge, and uphold professional and ethical standards including Aboriginal cultural competence.

Documentation, Compliance & Quality Improvement– Maintain accurate documentation within KPIs and NSW Health Directives, contributing to service planning, evaluation, and quality improvement initiatives.

Leadership, Supervision & Team Culture– Supervise junior staff and students, foster positive workplace culture, and actively contribute to MLHD Professional Discipline and Allied Health networks.

Professional Development & Growth– Advance personal development through ongoing education, evidence-based practice, clinical supervision, and performance reviews to continuously improve service quality.
