Job summary

Benetas is seeking a Senior Personal Care Worker to join the Rural North West Community Health and Care team in Gisborne, VIC. You will mentor Personal Care Workers, perform Home Safety Assessments and support high-quality in-home care for older Victorians.

Role is permanent at 0.9 FTE with opportunities for leadership development and internal progression, aligned with a not-for-profit salary packaging benefit.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support (Aging) and Certificate IV in Aged Care required.
• Current First Aid and CPR certificates must be valid.
• Experience in aged or community care with mentoring ability is essential.
• Strong communication and person-centred approach to supporting older people and carers.
• Knowledge of aged care quality standards and WHS in clients' homes.
• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance required to be eligible.

Responsibilities

• Mentor, coach and support Personal Care Workers, incl. induction and development.
• Conduct onsite client visits and Home Safety Assessments; identify changes and risks.
• Collaborate with Care Partners, Scheduling and Rostering to ensure quality service.
• Provide direct personal care and operational support when needed, incl. leave coverage.
• Support workforce coordination, rostering, recruitment, training and continuous improvement.
