Job summary

Salt in Melbourne is seeking a Performance Tester to join our high-volume digital platform team. You’ll design and execute performance and load testing strategies, develop test scripts, and analyze system behavior across applications, APIs, data and infrastructure.

We’re looking for hands-on experience with Gatling and AWS, plus a strong background in performance engineering and CI/CD, ideally with Jenkins or GitHub.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience designing and executing performance tests.
• Strong understanding of performance testing concepts and metrics.
• Experience with load modeling and identifying bottlenecks.
• Ability to work with CI/CD pipelines to integrate tests.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute performance and load testing strategies
• Develop and maintain performance test scripts and tooling
• Analyse system behaviour across applications, APIs, data and infrastructure
• Identify performance issues, bottlenecks and scalability risks
• Work closely with engineering, delivery and operational teams
• Contribute to capacity planning and usage modelling
• Support the development of highly scalable, resilient and recoverable systems
• Help develop performance engineering capability across the wider technology organisation
• Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines
