Job summary

Chandler Macleod in Broadmeadows, VIC is seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Officer to join a busy payroll team. This full-time contract role manages end-to-end payroll, leads the team, and ensures accurate fortnightly payroll delivery in a high-volume environment.

You will allocate work, mentor Payroll Officers, and handle complex payroll matters while maintaining compliance with legislation and enterprise agreements, delivering excellent service to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Senior payroll experience in a high-volume environment.
• Experience with end-to-end payroll processing.
• Leadership or mentoring of payroll staff.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong customer service and stakeholder engagement.
• Solid knowledge of payroll legislation and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Allocate and coordinate work across the Payroll team to meet deadlines.
• Provide guidance, support and training to Payroll Officers.
• Assist with complex payroll processes and process improvements.
• Process fortnightly payroll activities, including timesheet validation, data entry and reconciliation.
• Ensure payroll data is accurate, balanced and compliant with legislation.
