Job summary

The University of Melbourne seeks an accomplished Operations Manager to lead Melbourne National Security and Defence (MNSD) and establish its operating framework. Reporting to the Associate Director, Research Collaboration, you will coordinate governance, risk, and compliance across complex activities, engaging government, industry and university partners.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualification and extensive experience in large-scale project or operations management at corporate level.
• Operate effectively at senior management level, engaging diverse stakeholders in complex environments.
• Demonstrate strong governance, risk and compliance expertise within large, complex or highly regulated organisations.
• Coordinate activity across multiple portfolios or functions to achieve whole-of-organisation outcomes.
• Produce clear operational reports and briefings for governance committees and executives.
• Understand defence and national security research environments, including risks and compliance expectations.
