Job summary

SA Health's Modbury Hospital is seeking a Senior Occupational Therapist to join the General Medicine team on a full-time contract through to 7 April 2028. The role offers an opportunity to apply clinical expertise in an acute care setting within the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network.

Applicants will bring a degree in Occupational Therapy, current AHPRA registration, and demonstrated experience in inpatient assessments and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Qualified Occupational Therapist with current AHPRA registration.
• Experience in acute or sub-acute hospital settings with General Medicine focus.
• Ability to manage a complex caseload independently and prioritise under pressure.
• Experience providing clinical supervision or mentoring to less experienced clinicians.
• Knowledge of discharge planning processes and community referral pathways.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive functional, cognitive, and discharge-readiness assessments for General Medicine inpatients.
• Develop and implement evidence-based, patient-centred intervention plans with the multidisciplinary team.
• Provide clinical supervision and support to junior OT staff and students on placement.
• Contribute to service improvement initiatives, quality activities, and departmental projects within NALHN's Allied Health framework.

Salary: $112,139 - $120,284 p.a. plus Superannuation and Salary Sacrifice benefits – AHP3

Temporary Full-Time up to 7 April 2028

About the Role

Modbury Hospital is looking for a Senior Occupational Therapist to join its General Medicine team on a full-time contract through to 7 April 2028. If you are an experienced OT ready to apply your clinical expertise within a collaborative acute care environment, this is a role where your contribution will be felt by patients and the broader Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN) community every day.

What You'll Be Doing

• Conducting comprehensive functional, cognitive, and discharge-readiness assessments for General Medicine inpatients
