Northern Beaches Hospital is seeking a Senior Occupational Therapist to provide clinical governance, leadership and expertise within our Stroke and Neurology services, delivering high-quality, person-centred care. Based at Northern Beaches Hospital, you will join a growing team of therapists in a supportive, collaborative environment with district-wide initiatives.

This is an exciting opportunity to become a part of the occupational therapy team at Northern Beaches Hospital. We are looking for a Senior Occupational Therapist to provide clinical governance, leadership and expertise within our Stroke and Neurology services providing high-quality, person-centred care.

What you'll be doing

The Senior Clinical Occupational Therapist will provide clinical leadership within the occupational therapy service including optimisation of care delivery, quality improvement and initiatives and participate in staff supervision and training.

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  1. Full registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia. Evidence of extensive clinical experience as an Occupational Therapist Level 2.
  2. Provide evidence of proficient written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with the proven ability to liaise with novice and experienced health professionals and external service providers. Demonstrated computer literacy and ability to use health information systems.
  3. Demonstrated ability to initiate, lead, complete and share quality improvement activities or service evaluation process. Experience in clinical teaching and supervision of students, level 1/2 Allied Health Professionals and/or Allied Health Assistants.

You will be required to complete the OASV Undertaking/ Declaration Form and TB Assessment Tool during the recruitment process.
