Job summary

Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service – Maroochydore QLD is seeking a Nurse Manager/Program Manager for the Child & Youth Speciality Mental Health (CYSMH) within the Child and Youth Mental Health, Mental Health and Specialised Services. You will oversee operational delivery for CYSMH, guiding a multidisciplinary team and contributing to strategic direction while advising stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a specialist level of skill in one or more areas of a complex or critical nature with the ability to independently apply specialist and novel judgement to meet the needs of patients across the continuum of care.
• Provide high-level clinical advice within area of expertise to clinicians, professional and operational teams, relevant service managers and other stakeholders regarding professional standards, service initiatives, service needs and clinical service development.
• Provide high-level clinical support and advice to staff within the multidisciplinary team (MDT) with the management and problem solving regarding clinically complex patients.
• Understand your broad responsibilities for safety and quality in healthcare, actively participate in continuous quality and safety improvement activities within the workplace and notify a relevant clinical or non-clinical responsible officer when concerns exist about workplace or patient safety.
