Job summary

Wirral University Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Highly Specialist Physiotherapist with Neurodisability expertise to join the neurology therapy team. You will provide advanced assessment and treatment for children with neurodisability and related neurological disorders in a collaborative, evidence-based setting.

You will work autonomously with specialist skills, contribute to multidisciplinary care, supervise juniors, and support the wider Neurology team in managing

• Advanced assessment and treatment planning in neurodisability
• Autonomous clinical decision-making with robust clinical reasoning
• Liaison with patients, carers and multi-agency teams

Responsibilities

• Assume a clinical role as part of the neurodisability therapy service.
• Provide advanced assessment and treatment for children with cerebral palsy and neurological disorders.
• Join an integrated neurology therapy service with the Clinical Specialist support.
• Work as an autonomous clinician using specialist skills for assessment, planning, intervention and review.
• Use analytical and judgment skills to contribute to clinical decisions based on assessment results.
• Provide specialist and professional advice and liaise with patients, carers, colleagues and wider teams.
• Supervise junior staff and students to support learning and service delivery.
• Support the wider Neurology team in managing children and youths with Neurodisability.
