Job summary

The Hills Grammar School is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to own and secure our core ICT infrastructure in a permanent full-time role starting on a flexible date. You will manage network, server, cloud and endpoint environments, drive resilience and ensure high availability across the school’s technology ecosystem.

Reporting to the Head of Technology, you will lead infrastructure projects, coordinate with vendors, and support cyber security operations, disaster recovery and IT

Qualifications

• 5+ years in network, infra or systems administration.
• Expertise in Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Windows Server and AD.
• Experience with networking tech, firewalls, wireless and virtualization.
• Knowledge of cyber security operations, patching and vulnerability management.
• Experience managing technology vendors and service providers.
• Education or IT qualifications with relevant industry certs.
• Experience in education environments.
• Knowledge of Defender and Intune; Aruba technologies.
• ITIL and business continuity experience.

Responsibilities

• Own core ICT infrastructure, ensuring security and resilience.
• Lead infrastructure projects and vendor oversight.
• Support cyber security operations and incident response.
• Collaborate with Service Providers and Technology Services team.
• Maintain Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID and network environments.
