Skilled Jobs Australia seeks an experienced Mixed Crop and Livestock Farmer for our Loxton, SA operations. The role oversees the full crop and livestock cycle, coordinating agronomy inputs and machinery, to maximise yields and quality.

You will manage ground prep, planting, fertilising, spraying, harvesting, and livestock husbandry, reporting to the General Manager (Farms). A strong focus on safety and efficiency is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in the operational management of a mixed crop and livestock farm.
• Good communication with farm managers, agronomists, and team members.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in quality of work.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage all operations for the crop growing season, including pivot movement, ground prep, planting, fertilising, spraying, harvesting and grading.
• Oversee ground preparation, planting, growing and harvesting processes.
• Inspect pivots to apply correct irrigation for moisture.
• Plan and execute seeding, growing and harvesting activities.
• Order parts for machinery repairs, ensuring competitive pricing.
• Undertake breeding and raising of livestock under the company program.
• Maintain workplace health and safety standards and adhere to policies.
