A leading mining company in Australia is seeking an experienced Senior Mining Engineer to join their Carrapateena project. This role involves developing Block Cave mine designs and supporting planning teams. Candidates should have tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering, with experience in Block Caving preferred. Carrapateena is currently transitioning from a Sub Level Cave to a Block Cave, extending the mine life beyond 2040. With development of the Block Cave footprint fast approaching, we’re looking for an experienced Senior Mining Engineer to join the team. You’ll be given the opportunity to play a crucial role in shaping the future of Carrapateena and uniquely positioned to experience the numerous aspects and challenges associated with this transition.
Joining a team that enables Carrapateena to make data driven decisions, ensuring safety and maximising value, with a vision to be industry leaders in caving operations, your core focus will be on refining long‑term mine plans and designs, readying them for execution.

This role is based in Adelaide on a Monday‑Friday basis with regular travel to Carrapateena; however we’re open to discussing preferred roster structure with the right candidate, with 8:6 and 4:3 options available.
