CVW Engineering in Sydney is seeking a Metal Machinist (First Class) to plan, set up and operate conventional and CNC machines to produce precision metal components from complex drawings.

You will use micrometers and calipers, perform tool changes, offsets and calibrations, and work with engineers and welders to ensure tight tolerances and quality.

The role requires AQF certificates or equivalent experience and offers competitive salary in the Australian market.

Qualifications

• AQF Certificate III or IV with on-the-job training
• Minimum 3 years hands-on metal machining experience
• Experience with CNC and conventional machines
• Ability to read engineering drawings and specs

Responsabilités

• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specs to plan machining.
• Set up and operate CNC and manual machines.
• Perform machine offsets and calibrations.
• Inspect finished components with micrometers and calipers.
• Maintain documentation and quality records.
• Collaborate with engineers and fabricators on projects.
• Ensure safety and adherence to QA standards
