Royal Flying Doctor Service SA/NT in Alice Springs seeks a Senior Mental Health Nurse to deliver culturally safe mental health services across remote communities. The role involves telehealth, phone and in-person care, and close collaboration with regional teams.

You will work under the Mental Health Service Manager, contributing to education, service design, and community engagement while enjoying relocation support and generous leave allowances in a remote setting.

Formación

• Current AHPRA registration.
• Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing or equivalent qualification.
• Experience delivering mental health care in remote/First Nations communities.

Reporting to the Mental Health Service Manager, you will deliver stepped, evidence based, culturally safe mental health services mostly within remote First Nations communities. This role gives you the opportunity to:

• Provide specialist mental health care via telephone, telehealth and face to face support
• Work across unique outback settings across regional and remote Australia
• Strengthen mental health and emotional wellbeing through education and community engagement
• Shape service delivery where traditional models simply don’t reach
• Be involved in National research within Aboriginal Communities.

About You

You are someone who:

• Is experienced in delivering mental health interventions aligned with national standards
• Understands culturally informed practices and healing approaches within First Nations communities
• Can work collaboratively across government and non government services
• Has experience in mental health promotion and social and emotional wellbeing initiatives

To be considered, you will have:

• Current AHPRA registration
• A recognised mental health nursing qualification (e.g., Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing)
