Qualifications

• Current medical practitioner, registered, or eligible for registration, with the Medical Board of Australia.
• Fellow of a relevant Australian specialist medical college and/or other specialist recognition as provided under the staff specialists (state award).
• Demonstrated senior clinical leadership experience in a hospital or health service environment.
• Demonstrated understanding of clinical governance, patient safety and quality improvement principles.
• Demonstrated experience with accreditation processes and continuous improvement within NSW Health or another Australian public health service.
• Demonstrated experience in mentoring, coaching, supervision or leadership development of medical staff.
• Highly developed communication, consultation and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to influence across clinical and executive settings.
• Demonstrated commitment to respectful workplace culture, inclusion and culturally safe practice.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams and manage sensitive issues with professionalism, discretion and sound judgement.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical management and treatment of patients in a SWSLHD facility under your care.
• Care to be provided within the clinical privileges granted by the CE on the advice of the Medical Appointments Advisory Committee.
