Job summary

Cambridge Design Partnership (CDP) is seeking a Senior Consultant Mechanical Engineer to lead client programmes from concept to production. You will provide technical leadership, drive quality and deliverables, and coach teams across multidisciplinary projects in a fast-paced environment.

You will shape strategies, manage risks, and collaborate with Markets, SMEs and stakeholders to deliver innovative medical devices, diagnostics and consumer technologies.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Track record of leading projects from concept through to production with quality, time and profit.
• Experience leading and developing multidisciplinary teams with coaching or mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Lead client relationships across projects as a strategic partner.
• Communicate CDP's approach and value to senior client contacts.
• Identify and develop new opportunities within accounts and convert to proposals.
• Lead sales and marketing efforts, including complex multidisciplinary work and marketing collateral.
• Coach others in client engagement and credibility with clients.
• Lead the mechanical engineering of client projects as Technical Lead or reviewer.
• Oversee prototype production in CDP's workshops and with suppliers.
• Identify, own and approve documents supporting product development within the quality system.
