Job summary

ENGIE Group is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to drive reliability and long-term asset management for Pelican Point Power Station. You will lead mechanical activities for gas and steam turbines, HRSGs, and balance of plant systems, while coordinating outages, inspections and maintenance programs with operations and maintenance teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering; eligible for Chartered Professional Engineer status.
• 10–15 years post-graduate experience in power generation or heavy industrial operations.
• Strong knowledge of asset management, maintenance and reliability principles for turbines, HRSGs, rotating equipment and plant systems.
• Experience planning outages, overhauls and maintenance activities while managing contractors and external service providers.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering activities for gas turbines, steam turbines, HRSGs and balance of plant equipment.
• Lead investigations into equipment issues, identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions.
• Plan, coordinate and oversee mechanical outage activities, inspections and maintenance programs.
• Manage engineering projects, plant modifications and capital improvement initiatives from scope through to delivery.
• Monitor asset performance and reliability, implementing improvement strategies to minimise unplanned outages.
• Contribute to budgeting, business case development, contractor management and ongoing asset management plans.
