Job summary

Ivory Group in Sydney is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and delivery of mechanical building services from concept to construction. You will work closely with clients and multi-disciplinary teams, driving technical outcomes and mentoring junior engineers in a hands-on role as the practice scales.

The role offers a flexible hybrid working model with a modern CBD office and opportunities to shape engineering solutions across residential, commercial and healthcare sectors,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent qualification.
• CPEng accreditation or working towards (preferred).
• Proven experience delivering mechanical building services projects in a consultancy environment.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
• Sound working knowledge of relevant Australian standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of mechanical services across the project lifecycle
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors and key stakeholders
• Mentor and support graduate and intermediate engineers in their technical and professional development
• Contribute to fee proposals and resource planning
• Review designs and drawings to maintain quality, compliance and consistent technical standards
• Support business development activities and identify opportunities with existing clients
• Contribute to continuous improvement across design processes and project delivery
