Job summary

Verbrec Limited is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer based in Adelaide CBD to work on challenging brownfields and new build projects. You will deliver mechanical designs, provide technical guidance, and maintain standards across diverse sectors including oil & gas, manufacturing, and infrastructure.

The role requires 5+ years of experience, CPEng/RPEV/RPEQ desirable, and proficiency with AutoPIPE/PV Elite.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience with 3 years’ experience in Finite Element Analysis with experience in pressure equipment (desirable)
• CPEng certification, RPEV and RPEQ (desirable)
• Diverse range of mechanical engineering skills, including pressure equipment, rotating equipment or tanks
• Experience to carry out mechanical engineering design and documentation from initiation through to construction stage,
• Experience working in oil and gas facilities or similar manufacturing industries
• Experience using AutoPIPE, PV Elite or other engineering software programs
• Experience generating engineering budget estimates and quotations
• Ability to work independently on multiple projects with conflicting deadlines
• Degree or equivalent experience/qualification is mandatory

Responsibilities

• Deliver project requirements according to agreed schedules consistent with Verbrec and clients quality standards.
• Maintain mechanical engineering standards across all projects.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and peers.
• Recommend improvements to engineering systems and processes.
• Continuously develop industry networks and contacts.
• Have an opinion, challenge the norm, and provide constructive feedback wherever possible.
