Job summary

Lycopodium is currently recruiting for a Senior Mechanical Designer to join our Perth based team. Reporting to the Design Coordinator, you will be integral to the drafting and design team, producing project deliverables and developing conceptual designs for project implementation.

You will lead the design layout and detailing of materials handling and process plants, review vendor drawings, ensure compliance with Australian and international standards, and help manage schedules and man-hour

Qualifications

• Minimum 6+ years’ experience in Mechanical Design/Drafting.
• Full plant layout experience in materials handling and process plants is key.
• Understanding of fabrication and construction techniques in materials handling.
• Experience with MicroStation 2D and 3D.
• Tertiary qualification in Engineering Design Drafting.

Responsibilities

• Produce Lycopodium and industry standard models and design drawings from calculations and sketches.
• Ensure design drawings comply with Australian and International standards.
• Produce plant layouts from preliminary project data and design information.
• Review vendor drawings and design data.
• Ensure project schedules and man-hour budgets are met for assigned work.
• Collaborate with personnel across all business units.
