At Atlis Consulting, we’re seeking a hands-on Data Engineer who enjoys being close to both technology and clients in Queensland. You’ll translate business needs into scalable data platforms and lead delivery across Databricks, Snowflake and Azure, while mentoring colleagues.

This is a client-facing role in a collaborative, Australian-owned firm with hybrid work options. You’ll shape technical strategies, develop analytics solutions, and build trusted stakeholder relationships while contributing

Qualifications

• Experience across data engineering, architecture or analytics consulting and be comfortable working directly with clients.
• Strong skills in modern data engineering, data modelling and data integration.
• Experience with SQL and ELT patterns.
• Ability to lead projects or small technical teams.

At Altis Consulting, we're looking for a hands-on Data Engineer who enjoys being close to both the technology and the client.

This is a role for someone who can take a business problem, shape the right technical approach, and lead it through to a practical outcome. You'll work across modern data platforms and engineering solutions while building trusted relationships with clients and helping develop the consultants around you.

What you'll do

• Design scalable data platforms, pipelines, integration and analytics solutions.
• Work across modern cloud technologies including Databricks, Snowflake and the Microsoft/Azure ecosystem.

What you'll bring

You'll have strong experience across data engineering, architecture or analytics consulting and be comfortable operating directly with clients.

• Leading projects or small technical teams

Consulting, advisory or client-facing delivery

The person we're looking for

You enjoy solving ambiguous problems, can challenge thinking respectfully and know when a technically impressive solution isn't necessarily the right business solution.

You'll be comfortable talking architecture with engineers one minute and explaining the value of the solution to an executive stakeholder the next.
