Job summary

CCSG Group, a Sydney-based risk and compliance leader, seeks a Senior Manager to strengthen enterprise risk, governance and privacy across the business. Reporting to the COO, you will shape strategy, embed controls and drive a proactive risk culture.

You will lead a team to monitor risks, support regulatory responses, and collaborate with senior stakeholders to ensure robust compliance across regulated operations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years' experience across risk, compliance, governance, audit, legal or regulatory functions within financial services, insurance, debt collection, credit or another regulated environment.
• Experience leading or managing risk and compliance frameworks, assurance programs and regulatory obligations.
• Strong knowledge of Australian regulatory and compliance environments.
• Working knowledge of NCCP, Privacy Act, ASIC/ACCC Debt Collection Guidelines, GICOP, NECF and TCP requirements.
• Experience engaging with senior stakeholders, auditors, clients and/or regulators.
• Strong leadership and ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the COO and executives to provide practical risk and compliance advice.
• Lead development of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework and risk reporting.
• Maintain oversight of risk registers, appetite, KRIs and emerging risks.
• Coordinate changes in response to legislation and regulations.
• Lead compliance monitoring, assurance activities and internal audits.
• Strengthen governance and embed a proactive risk culture.
• Oversee privacy compliance and Privacy Impact Assessments, including ISO 27001 requirements.

The role

CCSG Group is seeking a Senior Manager, Risk & Compliance to play a key role in strengthening and continuously evolving our enterprise risk, compliance, privacy and governance capability.

Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, you will provide strategic and practical advice across the business, helping CCSG identify and manage risk while supporting our regulated operations and continued growth.

You’ll work closely with senior leaders and operational teams to ensure risks are understood, controls are effective and compliance obligations are embedded into the way we operate.

This is an opportunity to make a genuine impact, not simply maintaining existing frameworks, but helping shape and mature the way CCSG approaches risk, compliance and governance.

Responsibilities

• Partnering with the COO, Executive Leadership Team and business leaders to provide practical and commercially minded risk and compliance advice.
• Leading the ongoing development and enhancement of CCSG's Enterprise Risk Management Framework, ensuring risks are identified, assessed, managed and reported effectively.
• Maintaining oversight of enterprise risk registers, risk appetite, key risk indicators and emerging risks.
• Monitoring changes to legislation, regulation and industry requirements and coordinating the implementation of required business changes.
• Leading compliance monitoring, assurance activities, thematic reviews, control testing and internal audits.
• Working with business leaders to strengthen governance, improve controls and embed a proactive risk and compliance culture.
• Overseeing compliance incidents, breaches, complaints and risk events, including investigation, root cause analysis and remediation.
• Managing and supporting responses to regulatory enquiries, audits, client reviews, due diligence requests and other external assurance activities.
• Providing oversight of privacy compliance, privacy breaches and Privacy Impact Assessments, including supporting our ISO 27001 information security requirements.
• Preparing risk, compliance and governance reporting for the COO and Executive Leadership Team, providing clear insight into key risks, trends and areas requiring attention.
• Leading and developing the Quality & Compliance function, while building risk and compliance capability across the wider organisation through training, coaching and guidance.
• Contributing risk and compliance expertise to strategic projects, technology implementations, client onboarding, outsourcing arrangements and operational change.
• Driving continuous improvement across our risk, compliance, governance and assurance frameworks.

Requirements

• A collaborative and engaging leadership style, with the ability to build trust, accountability and capability within the Risk & Compliance function and across the wider business.
• Strong analytical, reporting, communication and problem-solving skills.
• A high level of integrity, professionalism and sound judgement.
• A tertiary qualification in Law, Business, Finance, Governance, Risk, Compliance or a related discipline.
• Professional qualifications in risk, governance, compliance, privacy or financial services will be highly regarded.
• Experience working within ISO 9001 and/or ISO 27001 environments will be highly regarded.
