Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee training and professional development for staff in QCS Mental Health Services.
• Provide high-level clinical advice, support and training to centre and Community Corrections staff.
• Support agency mental health and disability service delivery; maintain best-practice knowledge for offender management.
• Develop and deliver a quality assurance framework to support practice development and decision making.
• Monitor service quality and trends; develop strategies to improve practice.
• Maintain a clinical caseload and provide expert advice on complex cases.
• Advise Mental Health Team Leaders and clinicians on best practices.
• Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to team leaders.
• Prepare strategic advice and ministerial/executive correspondence.
• Demonstrate understanding of rehabilitation, offender management and mental health in corrections.
• Represent agency in negotiations with government and key agencies.
• Lead and participate in high-level stakeholder liaison.
• Collaborate with other Directorates to achieve strategic outcomes.
• Ensure governance, budget, HR and WHS compliance.
