Job summary

Talenza in Sydney is seeking a Senior Manager of Product & Application Security to lead a small but technically hands-on security team. The role focuses on ensuring secure software, secure cloud platforms, and rapid recovery when incidents occur.

You will drive secure coding practices, threat modelling, vulnerability management, and cloud security across AWS (with some Azure and GCP), building security into the engineering toolchain and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Hands-on security engineering experience across software and cloud environments.
• Experience securing cloud platforms/environments.
• Ability to lead a security engineering team and drive secure practices.

Responsibilities

• Embed security into software development from the start.
• Conduct threat modelling and vulnerability scanning on software.
• Lead a team of 3 security engineers.
• Secure the organisation's cloud environment (AWS primary, Azure/GCP also used).
• Build security into the engineering toolchain with automated code, container, and IaC scanning in CI/CD.
• Own API security by authenticating users and restricting access.
• Improve resilience and disaster recovery capabilities.
• Secure AI initiatives as they are rolled out.
