About the Role

Reporting to the Vice President Environmental Performance, this influential role provides strategic oversight of environmental integration across Gold Fields' business processes, ensuring alignment with our 2035 targets, Environmental Standard, and sustainability strategy. You will lead the Australian Environmental Managers and Perth-based Specialists, guiding capability, consistency, assurance, and continuous improvement across four assets.

  • Support policies, standards, assurance and audits across all sites.
  • Analyse environmental risks and guide improvements to controls and mitigation.
  • Build capability, collaboration and a high-performance culture across the environmental function.
  • Support broader Group-wide environmental initiatives as required.

About You

You are an experienced environmental leader who combines strong technical expertise with exceptional stakeholder and business integration skills. You work comfortably at strategic, operational, and systems levels and thrive in a complex, fast-moving environment.

What You'll Bring

  • University degree in environmental science or related discipline. Postgraduate education in environmental management or a related field is preferred.
  • Extensive experience in water, biodiversity or environmental management (ideally in the resources sector).
  • Deep understanding of environmental impact assessment, operations, project evaluation, closure planning and M&A environmental considerations.
  • Proven leadership experience and ability to influence across diverse technical and executive stakeholders.
  • Strong project management, business process modelling and analytical capability.
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to synthesise complex issues into clear insights.
  • Ability to build collaborative working relationships, navigate ambiguity and support change.
  • Demonstrated integrity, courage and commitment to excellence.

What We Offer
