Job summary

Westpac is seeking a Senior Manager, Business Credit Risk in Sydney. You will join Group Audit to independently assure credit risk management across commercial, corporate and small business lending portfolios.

You will partner with senior stakeholders to assess risk frameworks, identify emerging risks and provide insights that strengthen risk outcomes. Role requires deep credit expertise, strong commercial judgement and ability to influence executive leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial, corporate or business credit risk assessment.
• Ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders across business, risk and executive leadership.
• Strong knowledge of credit risk regulatory requirements in banking.
• Excellent analytical and written communication skills to translate complex issues into actionable insights.
• Experience using data analytics to assess risk and identify trends.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent assurance over the management of credit risk across lending portfolios.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders to assess effectiveness of risk frameworks and identify emerging risks.
