Job summary

Barunga West Council in Port Broughton is seeking a Manager Assets, Infrastructure and Regulatory Services to lead planning, delivery and maintenance of roads, buildings, parks, waste and regulatory functions.

You will report to the CEO, manage a multidisciplinary team, develop budgets, drive asset sustainability and service excellence, and partner with elected members and regulators.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience in local government or similar environment.
• Strong asset management and infrastructure planning experience.
• Experience in regulatory services and development assessment would be beneficial.
• Proven project and contract management capabilities.
• Strategic judgement and ability to navigate complex issues.
• Strong financial acumen and budgeting experience.
• Excellent leadership and people management skills.
• Membership in a professional institute is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead asset management and infrastructure planning and maintenance programs.
• Develop and deliver integrated capital and maintenance programs.
• Oversee major projects with consultants and contractors.
• Direct regulatory services including planning, building compliance and health.
• Provide strategic direction across waste services and community infrastructure.
• Manage portfolio budgets and financial analysis for informed decisions.
• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team and foster change.
• Build strong relationships with elected members, community and agencies.
