Job summary

Credible Accounting, a boutique firm based in Norwest Sydney, seeks a Senior Management Accountant to join the team on site. You will prepare and review management reports, create budgets and forecasts, and provide insights to support client decision-making.

You will manage month-end processes, accruals, journal entries, and variance analysis while ensuring compliance with standards. Collaboration with owners and staff will help refine reporting and controls; mentoring junior colleagues is

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required; professional certification is highly desirable.
• Strong technical accounting skills with a focus on accruals and financial statements.
• Experience in management accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems; advanced Excel skills are expected.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities; detailed and independent work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review management reports, budgets, forecasts, and financial statements.
• Oversee month-end processes, accruals, and journal entries with accuracy and timeliness.
• Perform variance and trend analysis to provide actionable insights for clients.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and firm policies; refine reporting frameworks.
• Collaborate with business owners and team members to improve processes and controls.
• Mentor junior staff and support continuous improvement in service delivery.
