Glencore’s Rolleston Open Cut in Central Queensland is seeking a Senior Maintenance Supervisor to lead a maintenance team, drive safety and performance, and coordinate with planning and reliability groups. You will manage contractors, review equipment status, and ensure compliance with site procedures in a hands-on mining environment.

The role requires a minimum of five years in a similar role at an open-cut coal mine, strong technical maintenance knowledge, and proven leadership capabilities

Qualifications

Minimum 5 year’s experience in a similar role, preferably in an open-cut coal mine.
Strong technical knowledge of maintenance practices.
Excellent safety mindset with the ability to positively influence the culture at Rolleston
Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a team environment.
Relevant experience with SAP or similar maintenance management systems.

Lead and support Maintenance Supervisors, providing daily direction, mentoring and ensuring consistency across crews.
Drive safety, quality, performance, area standards, work delivery and compliance with site procedures
Develop Supervisor capability through coaching, training and performance reviews
Coordinate maintenance priorities with Planning, Reliability and Superintendent
Manage contractors and vendors ensuring safety, quality and performance
Monitor maintenance performance, availability and KPIs to drive improvement
Provide coverage during absences and support 7/7 operational requirements

Rolleston Open Cut is a 16Mtpa thermal coal mine located in the southern Bowen Basin in Central Queensland. With a long life of mine and low operating costs, the mine has a bright outlook. About the Role

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Senior Maintenance Supervisor to join our dynamic and successful team. As a valued member of the Maintenance team and reporting directly to the Maintenance Superintendent, you will be responsible for:

Lead and support HME Maintenance Supervisors, providing daily direction, mentoring and ensuring consistency across crews.
Drive accountability for safety, quality, performance, area standards, work delivery and compliance with site procedures
Develop Supervisor capability through coaching, training, performance reviews and effective people-management guidance
Coordinate maintenance priorities and resources with Planning, Reliability and the Maintenance Superintendent to safely execute the agreed plan
Improve crew communication and handovers, ensuring equipment status, outstanding work, risks, delays and priorities are clearly understood.
Provide visible safety leadership, review high-risk maintenance activities, support risk management and contribute to incident investigations and corrective actions.
Maintain accurate maintenance records, including SAP work orders, time confirmations, defects, failure information, close-out data and MinVu reporting.
Manage contractors, Hastings Deering/CAT and other vendors, ensuring safety, quality, scope, warranty and performance requirements are met.
Monitor HME performance and reliability, reviewing availability, downtime, schedule compliance, repeat failures and other KPIs to drive improvement.
Identify and implement operational improvements, while providing the Superintendent with clear updates on fleet condition, risks, breakdowns, people matters, costs and maintenance performance. Provide coverage during absences and support 7/7 operational coverage.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:
