The Role

We are currently seeking a full-time Senior M&V Engineer in North Sydney or Melbourne to join our Measurement & Verification (M&V) team. The M&V Engineer position will be part of the M&V Team and work closely with the Technical Manager, with a particular focus on the delivery of M&V energy efficiency, renewable energy projects, and large-scale consultancy work. These projects include technologies such as commercial HVAC, electrification, and Solar PV.

The role will be working from our North Sydney (NSW) or Melbourne (VIC) office and reporting directly to the Technical Manager, who is based in Abbotsford, Melbourne.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead the technical delivery of projects, generating certificates (such as white certificates or carbon credits).
  • Offer expert technical guidance for emissions reduction initiatives.
  • Cultivate and maintain robust client relationships through clear and effective communication.
  • Support the continuous development and refinement of engineering tools, processes, and methodologies to optimise project delivery.
  • Work closely with Account Managers to maintain a high level of shared technical knowledge.
  • Contribute to a culture of technical excellence by mentoring and peer-reviewing the work of other energy engineers.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders to communicate roles and responsibilities based on scheme and project delivery requirements.
  • Produce technical reports for clients and scheme regulators.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of each of the State and Federal Energy Efficiency schemes and activities.
What We’re Looking For
  • If you have worked in a previous Accredited Certificate Provider (ACP), you are encouraged to apply.
  • Proven experience in technical delivery of energy efficiency projects within the state-based certificate programs
  • Strong understanding of energy use, emissions reduction, and renewable technologies in the Australian market
  • Exceptional project management, data analysis, and client relationship skills, with an ability to translate technical detail into practical solutions
  • Demonstrable leadership and management skills, both in projects and team mentoring
  • High level of initiative, problem-solving ability, and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to produce high quality work and adhere to timelines.
  • Deep understanding of energy efficiency or environmental policy frameworks.
  • A team player with a customer-first mindset.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification, such as Engineering, Science, or other technical fields
  • Certified Measurement & Verification Professional (CMVP) or Performance Measurement & Verification Analyst (PMVA)
  • More than 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Work Health and Safety requirements

We offer
  • A competitive salary that will be based on your skills and experience.
  • We are a hybrid business, so you can work from home and the office. We are located in North Sydney and Abbotsford, Melbourne.
