BDO is a leading global professional services firm with a strong Australian presence, offering a platform to grow in Private Equity & M&A Tax. The Sydney-based team partners with domestic and international clients to deliver sophisticated tax advisory and deal execution.

As a M&A Tax Manager or Senior Manager, you will lead tax due diligence, structuring and transaction documentation reviews, while mentoring junior team members and liaising with clients, lawyers and bankers.

Qualifications

• 4–8 years' Australian tax experience in M&A/Deals Advisory or corporate tax practice.
• Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Accounting or Law and CA/CTA or legal qualification.
• Commercial understanding of M&A transactions.
• Strong project management, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Collaborative, innovative and inclusive working style.
• An enquiring mind, open to new ways of thinking and approaches and unafraid to challenge the status quo.

Responsibilities

• Work on the full range of Private Equity/M&A tax advisory work including due diligence and structuring, transaction documentation reviews, modelling and fund structuring.
• Act as a contact for internal and external stakeholders on transactions, liaising with clients, lawyers, investment bankers and other service providers.
• Work closely with Partners and Directors across tax and Corporate Finance, Commercial Due Diligence and other Deal Advisory services teams.
• Build enduring relationships with clients to develop your professional practice.
• Work in an inclusive, supportive National Tax team with growth ambitions.
