Job summary

Digital Canberra in ACT, AU seeks a Senior Linux, Unix and Appliance Specialist to support the Strategic Asset Management Program. You will deliver upgrades, security hardening, automation, migration and lifecycle uplift across critical technology services, working with infrastructure engineers and project teams.

The role requires strong Linux/Unix expertise, collaborative leadership, and the ability to plan, implement and validate refreshed environments.

Qualifications

• Strong Linux/Unix expertise with appliance platforms.
• Experience with automation tooling and infrastructure automation.
• Ability to lead planning, implementation and validation of refreshed environments.
• Australian citizenship and NV1 security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist technical guidance to support infrastructure modernisation across ACT Government.
• Deliver upgrades, migrations and security hardening of platforms.
• Collaborate with infrastructure engineers, architects and project teams.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and handover artefacts.
