Job summary

Nomad Digital in Perth, Australia is seeking an experienced Senior System Administrator to lead our global infrastructure. You will work across data centres, VMware and Azure cloud, delivering reliable, scalable systems that support our railway connectivity solutions.

You will mentor engineers, drive automation with Ansible/Puppet, manage FortiGate firewalls and VPNs, and collaborate with InfoSec to maintain security best practices. This is a hybrid role with office access in Perth as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years configuring and maintaining network infrastructure.
• Experience administering Linux (Ubuntu/Debian) systems.
• Automation experience with Puppet or Ansible.
• Security competencies including firewalling and VPNs.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain global network and server infra.
• Automate provisioning with Ansible or Puppet.
• Configure FortiGate firewalls and VPNs; manage BGP routing.
• Administer Linux servers (Ubuntu/Debian) and VMware.
• Develop and maintain monitoring with Zabbix.
• Mentor engineers and communicate technical designs.
