Job summary

Munich Re Life team in Australia and New Zealand seeks an actuary to lead technical assessments and pricing initiatives within a life reinsurance context. You will model, analyze and report profitability for in-force portfolios while supporting pricing decisions for existing and new products or treaties.

You will develop client relationships, engage with stakeholders, and help negotiate treaty documentation, aiming to improve efficiency and outcomes across the business.

Qualifications

• Up to 5 years post-qualification experience as an Actuary, in a Life (re)insurance pricing or reserving environment.
• Knowledge of relevant insurance law in Australia and New Zealand.
• Strong modelling and Excel skills.
• Engaging - effectively communicate, share knowledge and support initiatives and projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects to drive technical assessments and commercial outcomes in a cross-functional environment.
• Perform actuarial modelling, analysis and reporting for profitability analyses on in-force portfolios.
• Recommend pricing of existing business and pricing of new products and treaties.
• Enhance internal models and processes to improve efficiency.
• Develop and build client relationships and support MRA's client strategy.
• Manage and support commercial negotiations with key internal and external stakeholders.
• Work with internal SMEs and clients to agree changes to Treaty documentation.
