Austar provides both debt and equity finance solutions for property developers with geographical reach across the eastern seaboard of Australia. Typical transaction scope includes residential, together with growing exposure to commercial, retail, health, and industrial sectors. The typical transaction size range lies from $1-$40 million AUD plus. The team has achieved approximately $2 billion in total investment over the last 7 years.

Seeking a highly motivated, passionate and pro‑active person with knowledge about property finance.
The role will centre on loan origination and initial assessment.
Candidates must have existing Australian work authorisation at the time of application.
This is a stellar opportunity to work directly with the firm's founders, managing directors, lending, credit, and investment teams in a small, nimble, entrepreneurial, dynamic, fast growth environment. The successful candidate will learn to assess transactions via application of industry leading metrics along with the utilisation of the candidate's stellar commercial acumen.
· Understanding key property and construction metrics and contracts.
· Understanding of property valuation.
· Clear understanding of lending terminology and risk management techniques, specific to the commercial property finance environment.
· Be able to work unsupervised.
· Be able to multitask.
· A strong desire to work in an environment exposed to both finance and property.
· Minimum 5-8 years of demonstrated property finance experience.
Skills will have been demonstrated in previous positions with property finance ADI and/or non‑ADI organisations, property development and/or construction firms, or consultancies supporting the finance and/or property industries.
The successful applicant will have a relevant degree in a finance, property, construction, commerce related discipline with favourable consideration given to applicants with knowledge, experience and/or a strong interest in the property and/or built environment. A strong desire to work in a dual finance and property environment is critical for success in the role.
