Job summary

Firmus Technologies is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to support infrastructure, procurement and construction across Australia and APAC. You will provide strategic, commercially-focused legal guidance to enable rapid growth of our AI Factory platform.

Reporting to the General Counsel, you will negotiate complex agreements, manage regulatory risk, develop templates, and partner with procurement, development and operations teams.

Qualifications

• PQE of 8–10 years in construction and infrastructure law.
• Experience in top-tier firms or sophisticated in-house teams.
• Strong background in commercial contracting and regulatory risk.

Role Summary

The Senior Legal Counsel: Infrastructure and Construction is a senior member of the Legal team, responsible for providing strategic, commercially focused legal support across Firmus' operations, infrastructure, procurement and supply chain activities. Reporting to the General Counsel, the role serves as a trusted adviser to business leaders on complex legal, commercial and operational matters, helping the Company identify opportunities, manage risk and execute on its growth strategy.

Working closely with teams across procurement, projects, operations, development, energy and commercial functions, the Senior Legal Counsel will support the contracting, delivery and operation of critical infrastructure that underpins Firmus' AI Factory platform. The role will lead legal support for significant commercial and project-related arrangements, negotiate complex agreements and provide practical, solutions-oriented advice in a fast-paced, high-growth technology environment.

The successful candidate will combine strong technical legal expertise with commercial judgment, a collaborative approach and the ability to operate autonomously across a broad range of matters. Skills & Experience

• Minimum 8-10 years' post-qualification experience (PQE).
• Experience gained in a top-tier law firm and/or a sophisticated in-house legal environment.
• Strong experience across construction, property, supply chain, procurement, energy, utilities, insurance and commercial contracting.
• Proven ability to negotiate and manage complex commercial and project arrangements.
• Strong commercial judgment and pragmatic approach to legal risk.
• Ability to operate autonomously and provide clear, solutions-focused advice in a fast-paced, growth-oriented business.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and negotiation skills.
• Experience in technology, digital infrastructure, telecommunications, energy, utilities, logistics or data centre sectors.
• Experience supporting large-scale operational and capital project environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Laws (LLB), Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent legal qualification.
• Admission as a legal practitioner in Australia and eligibility to hold a practising certificate.
