Based at our Melbourne, Burwood Campus with hybrid work arrangements. This is a full-time and continuing position at Level C with salary $143,490 - $165,001 plus 17% Superannuation.

Deakin is a cutting-edge public university with campuses across Melbourne Burwood, Geelong, Warrnambool, and other locations, plus online delivery. The Faculty of Health seeks a Senior Lecturer to lead unit and course teaching teams within The School of Nursing and Midwifery for undergraduate and postgraduate programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead unit and course teaching teams and collaborate with other teaching teams in the faculty to develop effective unit/course curricula and learning materials.
• Integrate industry, clinical and/or research practice into unit/course design to improve student learning experiences, engagement and outcomes.
• Design collaborative learning opportunities at the course level and support diverse learners by creating accessible and inclusive unit and course materials and practices.
• Develop effective assessment tasks and rubrics at unit and course levels; provide clear criteria and timely feedback to demonstrate learning outcomes.
• Contribute to seeking funding for research and creative activities, including applications for external funding and other funding to support sustained activities.

Qualifications

• Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a registered nurse.
• PhD in a relevant discipline and/or other relevant qualifications and experience.
• Excellent record of scholarly teaching in undergraduate and/or postgraduate programs, including innovative curriculum design.
• Demonstrated leadership of teaching, research and administration.
