Job summary

Chandler Macleod Group is seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join a Federal Government agency and drive data-driven insights across disability services programs. You will perform complex analyses, develop dashboards, and present findings to diverse stakeholders, while mentoring junior staff and supporting risk and integrity initiatives.

The role focuses on large datasets, rigorous analytics, governance, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to inform strategic outcomes and policy

Qualifications

  • Strong experience in data analytics and data interpretation.
  • Advanced SQL skills and experience with large datasets.
  • Experience using analytics and reporting tools, SAS EG and/or SAS Viya.
  • Strong problem-solving and evidence-based decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication, able to explain insights to diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability to build stakeholder relationships across teams.
  • Experience preparing reports and briefing materials for senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with autonomy.
  • Experience with Python and/or R.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and machine learning techniques.
  • Experience in fraud analytics, risk analytics, or integrity-related environments.
  • Experience working in government or regulated environments.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct complex data analysis, reporting, and investigative activities.
  • Manage day-to-day analytical tasks including regular reporting and ad hoc requests.
  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, risks, and insights.
  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and performance metrics.
  • Contribute to data governance, QA, and data integrity processes.
  • Interpret findings and provide evidence-based recommendations.
  • Collaborate with agency teams to ensure consistent data usage and messaging.
  • Present analytical outcomes to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Support stakeholder engagement and build internal/external relationships.
  • Mentor junior analysts and promote best practices in data analysis.
  • Support project delivery and contribute to strategic initiatives within risk and integrity functions.

You Must Have
  • Strong experience in data analytics and data interpretation.
  • Advanced SQL skills and experience working with large datasets.
  • Experience using analytics and reporting tools, ideally SAS Enterprise Guide (SAS EG) and/or SAS Viya.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex data-related issues.
  • Excellent critical thinking capabilities and the ability to make evidence-based decisions.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain complex data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to build productive stakeholder relationships and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience preparing reports, presentations, and briefing materials for senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Experience with Python and/or R programming languages.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and machine learning techniques.
  • Experience in fraud analytics, risk analytics, or integrity-related environments.
  • Experience working within a large and complex government or regulated environment.
