Job summary

Hastha Solutions is seeking a Kafka Senior Developer for a 12-month contract in Melbourne to design and implement robust data integration pipelines using Java and Spring Boot. The role focuses on building Kafka producers/consumers, managing topic logic on Confluent Cloud and NGIP, and crafting powerful stream processing with Flink SQL to transform and validate data.

The candidate will integrate with Schema Registry, support HTTP/API connections via Kong Gateway, and participate in CI/CD

Qualifications

Must have Java/Spring Boot development for custom integrations.
Experience building Kafka producers/consumers and event-driven services in Confluent Cloud.
Proficient in Flink SQL for streaming transformations and data enrichment.
Experience integrating with Schema Registry and validating messages.
Familiarity with HTTP APIs and Kong Gateway for NGIP integrations.

Responsibilities

Develop custom integration code using Java / Spring Boot for source system connectivity where connectors are not applicable.
Build and maintain Kafka producers/consumers and topic logic on Confluent Cloud / NGIP.
Develop Flink SQL / stream processing for transformation, enrichment, validation and deduplication.
Integrate with Schema Registry and message validation controls.
Support HTTP/API integrations via Kong Gateway for NGIP communications.
Collaborate with CI/CD via GitLab pipelines and perform testing and release support.
