Job summary

Exclaim IT is seeking an experienced Java Developer to join a technology delivery team servicing enterprise applications, capacity management and automation initiatives. You will contribute to the Java-based capacity management platform by developing components, data collectors, database interfaces and reporting capabilities.

Work closely with capacity management specialists, platform engineers and DBAs to deliver solutions that improve infrastructure utilisation monitoring, CPU right-sizing and

Qualifications

• Enterprise-scale Java application development experience.
• Experience with capacity management and infrastructure monitoring.
• Knowledge of Grafana, Prometheus, Elastic, VMware Aria or Dynatrace.
• Experience developing data collectors, APIs and automated reporting.
• PostgreSQL or other relational databases experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance and maintain Java components, APIs and system interfaces.
• Design data collection and integration across monitoring tools and repositories.
• Develop data aggregation and storage solutions using PostgreSQL.
• Support Grafana dashboards, reporting and data extracts for capacity analysis.
• Integrate observability data from Grafana, Elastic, Prometheus, VMware Aria and Dynatrace.
• Create automation scripts, scheduled jobs and deployment processes.
• Investigate defects, perform root cause analysis and remediation.
• Participate in testing, release management and production support.
• Prepare technical docs and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders for scalable solutions.
