Job summary

Senior Java Developer role in Launceston, TAS, AU, joining a development team redesigning an FX platform. You will bring 6–7 years Java experience, strong Spring and Hibernate, and FS/Investment banking exposure, ideally with Calypso or Murex.

You will translate business and technical needs for internal developers, guide BAs with technical assessments, and participate in design, configuration and development of the existing application.

Qualifications

• 6-7 years Java development experience in large-scale software.
• Strong background in Spring and Hibernate.
• Experience in FS/Investment Banking, FX/Options/Commodities.
• Exposure to Calypso or Murex or similar product.

This role will work closely with business stakeholders / Users/ Testing to join a development team. Client is redesigning their FX platform and requires a highly skilled Java developer with experience working with trading or FS platforms and preferably Calypso or Murex.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Spec's of business and technical requirements for internal developers.
• Guidance to BA's with technical/system related assessments.
• Design, configure and development of existing application.

EXPERIENCE

• 6-7 Years Java Development Experience - Large scale software solutions.
• A strong and solid background in Spring and Hibernate.
• Previous experience working in FS in Investment/Institutional Banks in particular within FX, FX Option and Commodities areas.
• Experience with either Calypso or Murex or similar product
