Job description

Peoplebank is recruiting for a Senior IT Support Specialist to work for their client based in the Adelaide CBD (this is a fully on-site role), on an initial 3 month contract basis (long term or permanent work is a possibility for the right candidate).

This is an urgent role, with an immediate start date (before Christmas ideally!).

Please note, due to the nature of the work, you must be an Australia citizen (a security clearance is a bonus, but not needed to start).

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting all ICT infrastructure to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient operations. This includes:

  • Provide technical support across the company (both in-person and remotely), ensuring issues are resolved within SLAs.
  • Guide users on best practices and deliver basic IT training when required.
  • Maintain operational stability of systems, networks, and environments.
  • Manage and document IT assets throughout their lifecycle to ensure availability and reliability.

Skills and Expertise required

  • 5+ years of experience supporting internal IT users and managing IT environments, including hardware, software, and user account lifecycles.
  • Productivity and Collaboration Tools – Proficiency with Google Workspace (G Suite) administration and support is desirable, including user management, configuration, and integration with other business systems.
  • Information Security Awareness – Sound understanding of information security principles, challenges, and best practices, with the ability to apply these in daily IT operations to enhance system integrity and compliance. Experience with security tools such as Sophos and identity management platforms like Okta is desirable.
  • Systems Deployment and Integration – Proven ability to deploy software solutions in secure, zero-trust environments. Experienced in configuring and maintaining SaaS connectivity and integrations to support business operations.
  • Problem Solving and Analytical Skills – Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a structured approach to diagnosing and resolving technical issues efficiently.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills – Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with users at all levels. Demonstrated customer service orientation and a positive, can‑do attitude.
